Good Afternoon Stingrays,

Now that you are pros at signing up for regular dual meets, we have the next challenge for you!

Invitationals are OPTIONAL meets designed for kids who (1) can’t get enough of summer league and love, love, love to compete, (2) want extra opportunities to make cuts for later invitationals, and (3) want to get a taste of what a year-round swim meet is like. Note that they cost extra money: $7 per event, which you will need to pay via Venmo. Our user name is SC Stingrays. Please make sure you put the name of the Invitational AND Your Swimmer's Name(s) in the description field.
The team pays for any relays your swimmer gets placed on (made up from the swimmers who enter the meet).

Invitationals also have qualifying times. Your swimmer must qualify for each event they enter. 

Our Mid-Season Invitational this year will be Sprint Sizzler which will be held at Cy-Fair Natatorium on Sunday, June 6th. Please review the attached meet document prior to the webinar we will host on Monday, May 26th (check your email for the zoom link).

Sign up will close at 9:00 PM Tuesday, May 27th. Sign up online--just click on the invitational name when the entry button is green and CHOOSE ALL YOUR SWIMMER’S DESIRED EVENTS. Coaches do not choose individual events; just relays. Also, there are no age group tents at invitationals. We have a team area where families set up with a ring of chairs and assist in getting swimmers to the ready bench on time. It is a team effort; DO NOT plan to drop off your swimmer.

If you have a swimmer participating in Invitationals, please be prepared to time. We will be assigned a certain number of slots by the meet manager based on the percentage of swimmers we have in the meet. Once that sign-up opens, please select the time slot that works best for you. If we are unable to fill all slots, we will need to assign slots to anyone who hasn't already signed up. 

Please note, if you volunteer at an Invitationals meet, that does NOT count toward your required volunteer hours for regular dual meets. Invitationals are separate.
