***Please note that we are currently looking into another venue for practice this week due to the Longwood Pool not having power. We may also have to move the meet Saturday against Gleannloch to another location as well. Please be patient as we work through this. Once we have more information we will relay it through Remind, Email & Facebook. 

Thank you to everyone that came out to the swim meet against Shenandoah yesterday. We truly appreciate everyone stepping up and helping out. After everything we have been through these past few days it was so nice to take home a win!

VOLUNTEER INFORMATION 

Job Signup opened at 12 PM today. 

**** If your swimmer is in the 6 & Under’s please be sure to sign up for 1st shift only. Your swimmer will need to be picked up from their tent after their last race. 

**** Declaration closes on Tuesday at 9pm. Please be sure to declare your swimmer even if you will not be attending the meet.

COACHES CORNER 

Happy Sunday Stingrays! 

What a chaotic week it ended up being! I hope everyone is doing well and all power is restored soon. A huge thank you to our host team, Shenandoah, for being so accommodating with us yesterday. They allowed us to make many changes to the meet after the deadline. 

Congratulations to each of you, as we earned our second WIN for the season! It was a very close meet, at times they pulled ahead, but your work on butterfly and Breaststroke paid off! 

This week will be very similar to last week, since we only got 2 day of practice. Expect station rotations for 7-12s, a few snake swims in our 6 and unders, and more endurance training for 13 and ups. We are coming up on the part of the season when plateaus may happen. This is normal and part of the swim process. Swimmers may see less time coming off of their swims, or may even add time. Just remember that progress is not always linear, and help us encourage your swimmers to keep at it. Focus on longer term goals- like earning an invitational cut by Divisionals! 

Speaking of invitationals: we have 3 this year! The first is the Sprint Sizzler coming up the first weekend in June, then our 2 end of season invitationals. Red, white, and Blue, and Ponderosa will happen after Divisionals and swimmers can qualify for those at Divisionals. QR codes are posted at the pool so you can see the time qualifications. We will also have posters for your swimmers to sign when they qualify!
