SUNDAY UPDATE

June 16th

Good afternoon Stingrays!

COACHES CORNER

Happy Sunday, and Happy Father's Day to all of our awesome dads, step dads, and grandpas of our team! I hope everyone was able to relax and recover from our long day of good competition yesterday.

Speaking of: CONGRATULATIONS DIVISION CHAMPIONS!! We won by only 10.5 points, beating out Londonderry for 1st place! It was an impressive day of swims, many of you earned new Invitational cuts, and swam lifetime bests! That is a huge feat considering how hot it was in and out of the water. We are so incredibly proud of you! We are even more proud of your Stingray spirit, sportsmanship, and how much you all enjoyed the competition.

For most of our team, the season is officially complete. I can't thank you all enough for the last 9 weeks! I'll speak more about this at the Party tomorrow, but this coaching staff had so much fun being with you this year.

For those who are attending RWB and/or Ponderosa next weekend: we will see you at practices this week, please check the amended schedule for these practices. We will focus on details of your sprints, do a little aerobic work to get your heart rate up and keep you conditioned for long days of racing, and do more fun things.

Our final Swimmers of the Week- please know that your swimmers made it DIFFICULT to choose just one boy and one girl from each age group. Almost every week we had a whole list of swimmers we wanted to recognize for their positive attitudes, teamwork, kindness, and joy. We truly love each of these kids we had the privilege to have! All 233 of them!
