Welcome to the 2025 season!

Here is a quick recap from the parent meeting that was held Saturday for anyone that was unable to attend.

Team Swim Suit Ordering Info - D&J Sports

• You can begin ordering now.
• Orders need to be in by April 12th to receive a swimsuit by Time Trials (May 3rd). Orders placed after that date need to be in by April 26th to receive a swimsuit by the first meet (May 10th).
• April 12th is discount day for D&J. This does not include team swimsuits. This is only for extra gear like goggles, fins, etc…
• The website to D&J is https://djsports.com/houston-tomball-swim-shop . This link has the address and phone number to the store. If you have any questions about swim gear, please contact them directly.

T-Shirts & Spirit Wear - DEADLINE FOR ORDERS IS APRIL 13TH!!

• Every swimmer will receive a team t-shirt if registered by April 6th.
• Team members and supporters can order shirts, tanks, hats, and shorts at our team store.
• The link to order spirit wear is - https://scst.swimtopia.com/team-store . The deadline for ordering is Sunday April 13th by 10 pm. Please note this is for Pre-Order only.
• Merchandise will be delivered to us by Time Trials (May 3rd). Payment will be due at the time of pick up. We will only accept Venmo, Zelle or Check.

Team Swim Caps- DEADLINE TO ORDER IS APRIL 9th!

• Order a blue team cap with Stingray logo for $12
• Order a custom team cap with swimmer’s first or last name printed under logo (must order 2 with same name) for $30
• Fill out this form to Order Cap by April 9th

Sponsorships -

• We are still looking for sponsors.
• Deadline is April 11th to have the sponsor's name printed on team shirts.

• Sponsorships are greatly appreciated by the Stingrays swim team; it helps to bring our local community together and raise money for our organization.

First Practices -

• April 15th - New swimmers only
• April 16th - Returning swimmers

• Please write swimmer’s name on all gear (fins, kickboard, water bottles)

Time Trials, Dual Meets, Divisionals & Invitationals -

• Time Trials will be held on May 3rd

• Our Senior Splash will be held before the start of our final home meet - Jun 7, 2025.
• Divisonals will be held at Cy Fair Natatorium - 12550 Windfern Rd B, Houston, TX 77064 on June 14th 8:00 am- 4:30 pm (estimated)
• Invitationals -
  • Mid-Season - Summer Thunder Invitational - June 1-2 , Location TBD
  • Post Season Invitational - June 21-22, Location TBD

Time Trials Makeup- SaturdayApril 26th

• Limited to ages 9+
• Open to swimmers who absolutely cannot make Time Trials on May 3rd.
• Deadline to enter is Wednesday 4/23. Spots are limited.
• Parents come prepared to run stopwatches as backup.
• Start time is 11:30 am.
• This is a trial run for this season and may not be available every year.

 Volunteer Requirements -

• We are a volunteer run organization and we need your help to make the meets run efficiently.
• 6 Shifts during the season per family. One shift is half a meet. It's easy to get your hours in because you will be there anyway. Please note that when you are volunteering you will still be able to watch your child swim.
• Each family is required to do a tent set up and tear down for one meet this season. These are assigned by the first letter of the last name before Time Trials. Your family is either assigned to help with the tent set up or take down. If you can’t make that meet it is your responsibility to find another family to switch with. If you are unable to find a replacement please reach out to the board and let them know asap so we can find a replacement for you.

Big Ray Little Ray

• We are bringing back Big Ray Little Ray!! Big ray Little ray is a fun program matching younger (4-9 year old) swimmers with older (10-18 year old) swimmers. We’ll randomly choose big and little pairs and match boys with boys and girls with girls.
• Some fun ideas for making a great relationship with your buddy are cheering on your buddy during their races, making or buying a small something that you can exchange at each home swim meet (ex candy, signs, handmade bracelet or card, etc.-think dollar store or support our concessions stand!) If you opt in, please make an effort to get to know your big or little ray and make the Stingrays a great community!
• In order to be a part of this you must opt in by filling out this form. Swimmers will not be given a big ray/little ray unless you fill out the Google form. We will send out pairs via team email sometime in the week before time trials.You will meet your buddy at time trials (bigs can go to littles age group tents) We will include a parent phone number on the pairing list in case you need to find your buddy and ask their favorite things.
