Weekly Wrap Up and Next Week
Stingrays!
Didn't it feel great to be back at a swim meet on Saturday morning!? It was a little chilly, but it turned out to be a beautiful day! We are so thankful for every volunteer who helped us run our first swim meet so smoothly. Everyone did an amazing job! Special shout out to Stan Parker and Angel Juardo; they had sick kiddos who weren't able to swim Saturday but still came to fulfill their volunteer shift. THANK YOU!
Standings are now available on website: (Swim Meets-Results)

FROM COACH ELISE: I am really pleased with the hard work all of our swimmers put in before time trials, and with the way everyone pulled together to make everything run smoothly at our mock meet. Wow, you all ROCK. Our 13 and up swimmers set a great example in character and respect for teammates, coaches, and officials. Thank you, ladies and gentlemen. And great team spirit from our 9 - 12 year olds! I was impressed with our 7/8s and 6 & unders, as well as individuals from some older age groups, in their courage to try events they have never swum before. All of this was very exciting and encouraging here at the outset of our Stingray season.
Parents need to know that they ALL need to RSVP for Glennloch Farms meet ASAP. Click on RSVP symbol on homepage and answer for EACH SWIMMER today if possible. You don't need to wait until Tuesday to do this.
Events to sign up for by Tuesday midnight: (1) swimmer's favorite event overall and (2) a breast or fly event (IM, Br, or fly) In the RSVP "comments section," PARENTS, please mention if your swimmer will need to ARRIVE LATE or DEPART EARLY. This is critical in a coaching decision to make relay assignments and on meet day to scratch a swimmer from individual events (we won't scratch them if we know they are planning to arrive late).
Those swimmers who have not had time trials yet will not be able to sign up for those events they do not have a time in. If there is an event you want to choose that you have not time trialed, send an email to: Coach Dore ([email protected]) for 13 and up; Coach Elise ([email protected]) for 12 and under. ALSO you must time trial the events at practice on TUESDAY. No exceptions.
Enjoy our 2017 Team Picture and see you at the POOL!
